PT Polychem Indonesia Tbk (ADMG) announced the postponement of the planned expansion of the ethoxylate plant 3 due to conditions that are still not possible.

Based on the Polychem 2020 annual report released Tuesday (15/6), ethoxylate plant 3 is estimated to be able to increase its ethoxylate production capacity by 50,000 tons per year.

Despite the delay, the company's long-term plan to expand the ethoxylate plant 3 will still be carried out in the coming years, after the COVID-19 pandemic has passed and the global and Indonesian economy recovered.

Currently, the company dominates the local market, which became the backbone for the past year.

Export markets, especially polyester, have penetrated Asia, the Sub-continent, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.

For chemical products, the company is the only producer of EG and EOD in Indonesia, so that local needs are still the company's mainstay.
