Jakarta - PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) throughout 2021 posted a profit for the year attributable to owners reaching Rp840.77 billion or an increase of around 134.73% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp358.18 billion.

The financial report published Monday (7/2) showed that the surge in profit was supported by an increase in net interest and sharia by around 56.29%, to Rp6.11 trillion from Rp3.91 trillion.

Operating profit also more than doubled to Rp1.08 trillion from Rp399.13 billion.

One of the pillars of the increase in operating profit was the ability of PNM to gain foreign exchange gains of Rp449.90 million from the previous loss of Rp145.36 million.

As of the end of December 2021, PNM's total assets were at Rp43.71 trillion, with a liability position of Rp37.27 trillion and equity of Rp6.43 trillion.
