Jakarta -  PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset officially manages low-quality assets of PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk.

As a realization, PPA, Bank Muamalat, and the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) signed a master restructuring agreement (MRA) on September 15, 2021.

MRA will regulate and document all stages of transactions in the context of managing Bank Muamalat's low-quality financing assets related to strengthening Bank Muamalat's capital.

"This collaboration is a mandate from Vice President Maaruf Amin who wants Bank Muamalat as part of Indonesia's sharia economic ecosystem," said SOE Minister Erick Thohir in an official statement on Thursday (16/9).

He hopes that the cooperation in the sharia economic ecosystem will continue because there are still targets to be achieved in the future.
