Perusahaan Gas, PAL Plan to Develop LNG infrastructure

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) and PT PAL Indonesia plan to develop and build LNG infrastructure.

PGN's Director of Strategy and Business Development, Heru Setiawan, said the company and PAL would conduct a study on cooperation in developing, constructing, maintaining, and improving gas technology, particularly LNG infrastructure.

"PGN and PAL will carry out a joint study on the development and construction of an LNG carrier, gas storage tanks for PGN's business needs, and gasification of equipment and supporting facilities for the PAL factory. We hope that the implementation of the study can take place comprehensively," he said in a written statement on Thursday (5/8).

Heru added that PGN and PAL would also carry out joint marketing in the gas for the marine program, one of which is ship conversion.

"Technically, PAL has more capabilities, so PGN will absorb a lot of lessons from PAL later," explained Heru.
