Jakarta - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) recorded positive growth in the unaudited operating performance and sales of gold commodities in the first five months of this year.

The volume of gold production from the Pongkor mine was recorded at 576 kg, up 2.5% from the same period last year of 562 kg. Gold sales were also stable at 11.05 tons from 11.12 tons previously. 

"Antam's growth in operating performance and sales of gold reflects public confidence in Antam's precious metal products. This is also in line with the growth of public awareness in gold investment," said Antam's President Director Nico Kanter in a press release on Thursday (6/30).

He added that to meet the public's need to invest in gold this year, Antam will focus on strengthening the precious metal customer base in the domestic market by prioritizing security and customer trust by continuously providing quality products.
