PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) recorded a 126.58% increase in net profit in the first three months of this year to Rp588.29 billion from the same period last year of Rp259.65 billion.

"In the first three months of 2021, net income has exceeded the net profit throughout 2020, amounted to Rp281.7 billion. "Sales performance growth and cost efficiency strategies during the pandemic were positive catalysts for our performance," said BSDE Director Hermawan Wijaya, Tuesday (4/5).

Hermawan said the company also managed to record a growth in operating income of 11.6% or reaching Rp1.67 trillion compared to the same period last year of Rp1.49 trillion.

"The property unit sales segment (land, buildings and strata title) was the largest contributor to operating income, contributing 81% or Rp1.35 trillion. Consumer interest in the property units that we offer, especially residential properties, is very high," he explained.
