Jakarta - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk recorded an increase in profit for the period attributable to owners during the first semester of 2022 of around 9.28% to Rp1.636 trillion from Rp1.497 trillion.

According to the company's financial report published on Friday (7/29), the increase in profit was supported by the rise in net sales throughout the first half of 2022 by around 12.15% to Rp13.874 trillion compared to the same period last year of Rp12.370 trillion.

The cost of goods sold also increased by about 15.81%, or from Rp6.973 trillion to Rp8.076 trillion.

Kalbe's selling expenses also widened by around 7.98% to Rp2.934 trillion from Rp2.717 trillion.

However, Kalbe managed to increase other operating income and reduce other operating expenses by 108% to Rp. 73.335 billion from Rp35.175 billion and 12.89% to Rp15.432 billion from Rp17.717 billion.
