Jakarta - Bank Indonesia noted that the need for corporate financing in April 2022 indicated an increase compared to the previous month.

"This is reflected in the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 29.0%, higher than the March 2022 WNB of 15.6%," said BI Executive Director Erwin Haryono in a statement in Jakarta on Friday (5/20).

In the same period, households' need for new financing is also indicated to increase.

From the banking side, new lending in April 2022 is indicated to grow positively.

The increase in new financing for the corporate sector in April 2022 came from own funds, which still made up the majority of the funding, followed by the utilization of the withdrawal allowance facility and the sale of non-productive fixed assets.

From the household sector, the majority chose commercial banks as the main source of additional financing, with the type of financing proposed by the majority in the form of Multi-Use Loans
