PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA), until the first quarter of 2021, posted a widening loss for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity of Rp57.08 billion compared to the same period the previous year of Rp10.37 billion.

Based on the financial report published Wednesday (30/6), the increase in losses was triggered by the low achievement of operating income of around 59.10% or from Rp218.829 billion to Rp89.482 billion.

Nevertheless, PJAA succeeded in reducing the cost of goods, and direct expenses more than doubled to Rp67.90 billion from Rp140.80 billion.

Operating expenses also decreased by 28.69% or from Rp60.42 billion to Rp43.08 billion. One of the pillars is that the company increased interest income by around 18.56% to Rp4,291 billion.

Until the end of March 2021, PJAA's total assets were at Rp4.50 trillion with liabilities of Rp2.79 trillion and equity of Rp1.70 trillion.
