Jakarta - PT Waskita Karya Tbk recorded a loss attributable to owners in the first semester of 2022 of Rp236.517 billion compared to the same period last year, which managed to achieve a profit of Rp154.131 billion.

The company's financial report, released on Thursday (7/28), showed that the loss was triggered by the high cost of revenue of around 29.29%, to Rp5.433 trillion from Rp4.202 trillion.

In addition, Waskita had to accept a net foreign exchange loss of Rp1.471 billion from the previous profit of Rp1.163 billion. There was also a net loss of associates and joint ventures, which jumped by about 23.97% to Rp213.549 billion from Rp172.258 billion.

The final tax expense swelled by about 40.90% to Rp131.256 billion from Rp93.153 billion.

Nevertheless, Waskita could still increase operating income by around 29.29%, to Rp6.090 trillion, from Rp4.710 trillion.
