BI Sees Consumer Confidence Increase in April


Jakarta - The Bank Indonesia Consumer Survey in April 2022 indicated that consumer confidence in economic conditions had increased.

"This is reflected in the April 2022 Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) of 113.1, an increase from 111.0 in the previous month," said BI Executive Director Erwin Haryono on Thursday (5/12).

According to him, the increase in CCI was observed in the majority of the expenditure categories, age groups, and respondents' education categories.

Spatially, the increase in CCI occurred in most of the cities covered by the survey, the largest in Bandar Lampung, followed by Samarinda and Denpasar.

"Consumer confidence increased in April 2022, driven by improving consumer perceptions of the current economic conditions," he said.
