A subsidiary of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV), Asia Vision Networks, submitted a draft report on registering its business merger with Malacca Straits Acquisition Company (MLAC) to the United States stock exchange authority.

IPTV President Director Ade Tjendra said his party appreciates the partnership with Malacca Straits.

"Together with Malacca Straits, we are determined to bring the fastest growing OTT and streaming business in Indonesia to be listed on NASDAQ, the world's largest capital market," he said.

Malacca Straits is a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) or a blank check company formed to conduct a merger, stock exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization, or similar business combination with one or more.

In March 2021, AVN announced that it had officially signed a merger agreement with Malacca Straits with a combined company valuation of US$573 million.
