Jakarta - PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) provided a loan facility to a controlled company, PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia (MTI), worth US$200 million.

Based on the company's disclosure of information released on Friday (8/19), these funds will be used by MTI to repay the company's debts to other parties, capital expenditures, construction costs, and operations.

The loan bears interest at the rate of 3 months' LIBOR plus a margin of 5% per annum.

The transaction value represents 22.34% of the total consolidated equity based on the company's interim consolidated financial statements.

MTI is a controlled company whose shares are owned by the company indirectly through PT Batutua Pelita Investama of 79.99%.
