Jakarta - PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) until the first semester of 2021 recorded a profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent company of Rp532.48 billion, an increase compared to the same period last year with a loss of Rp357.86 billion.

According to the financial report released on Thursday (26/8), the strong profit performance was supported by a 58.41% growth in net income to Rp3.56 trillion, compared to Rp2.25 trillion in the same time last year.

In addition, the company was able to generate a positive operational profit of Rp720.18 billion, compared to a loss of Rp312.25 billion in the same period the previous year.

Until the period ending June 2021, the company's total assets reached Rp6.7 trillion, with liabilities of Rp5.31 trillion and equity of Rp1.38 trillion.
