London Sumatra Net Profit Jumps 445% YoY in First Semester to Rp501 Billion


Jakarta - PT PP London Sumatra Plantations Tbk (LSIP) until the end of the first semester of 2021 posted a net profit for the current period of Rp501 billion or an increase of around 445% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp92 billion.

LSIP President Director Benny Tjoeng said the increase in net profit was supported by the rise in operating profit of around 692% to Rp610 billion, and sales reached Rp2.17 trillion, an increase of 39%.

"The strengthening of sales was due to an increase in sales volume and the average selling price (ASP) of palm products," he said in his statement on Friday (13/8).

In semester I-2021, ASP of CPO and palm kernel (PK) rose by 25% and 56%, respectively.

Meanwhile, CPO sales volume grew 8 percent to 169,000 tons, and PK sales volume increased 12 percent to 47,000 tons.
