Government Raises Rp5.77 Trillion in Additional Debt Auction


The government has absorbed Rp5.77 trillion in funds from the auction of five additional series of government bonds (GB) or green-shoe options with an incoming bid of Rp9.08 trillion.

The Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance stated five series of GB being auctioned: FR0086, FR0087, FR0088, FR0083, and FR0089.

Series FR0086, the number won for the series with a tenor of Rp 0.16 trillion from the incoming bid of Rp0.3 trillion and a weighted average yield of 5.74944%.

Series FR0087, the total win for the series with a tenor of 10 years, was Rp1.97 trillion from the incoming bids of Rp3.5 trillion and a weighted average yield of 6.53998%.

Series FR0088, the number of bids and wins for the series with a tenor of 15 years is Rp1.32 trillion, and the weighted average yield is 6.50776%.

Series FR0083, the number won for the series with a tenor of 19 years, amounted to Rp2.13 trillion from an incoming bid of Rp3.79 trillion and a weighted average yield of 7.29968%.

Series FR0089, the number of bids and wins for the series with a tenor of 30 years,  amounted to Rp0.15 trillion,  with a weighted average yield of 7.08745%.

With this auction, the total amount of state financing originating from the GB auction from January to April 2021 was Rp239.69 trillion.

The government will conduct an auction for additional GB outside of the routine schedule due to the low bid received from the GB auction on Tuesday (13/4), amounting to Rp 42.97 trillion.

From the auction for the seven GB series, the government only absorbed funds amounting to Rp24.22 trillion. The auction realization was below the indicative target previously set at Rp30 trillion.
