Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) recorded a decrease in profit for the year attributable to owners in the first quarter of 2022 by around 22.31% to Rp18.018 billion from the same period last year of Rp23.195 billion.

The company's financial report released on Monday (7/11) showed that the higher cost of revenue of around 8.70% to Rp696.404 billion from Rp640.655 billion caused the low-profit achievement.

In addition, there was a decrease in the value of financial instruments amounting to Rp2,674 billion from previously there was an income of around Rp66,741 billion. Interest expense also jumped by about 16.67% to Rp17.690 billion from Rp15.162 billion.

Nevertheless, WTON managed to increase its operating income by about 20.47% to Rp773.193 billion from Rp641.777 billion.

WTON also pocketed a fourfold increase in associate profit share, from Rp103.258 million to Rp467.778 million.
