Jakarta - PT PLN throughout 2021 posted a profit for the year attributable to owners reaching Rp13.12 trillion, or a 120.63% jump compared to the same period the previous year of Rp5.95 trillion.

Based on the financial report in the information disclosure on Tuesday (5/24), the high profit was triggered by the high operating income of around 6.58%, to Rp368.17 trillion from Rp345.41 trillion.

In addition, the company managed to gain a net foreign exchange gain of around Rp2.67 trillion from a loss of Rp7.74 trillion. Financial expenses also decreased by about 25.67%, to Rp20.37 trillion from Rp27.41 trillion.

However, operating expenses increased by about 7.34% to Rp323.11 trillion from Rp301.008 trillion.

The company also had to accept other net expenses of Rp4.92 trillion from the previous success of earning Rp1.91 trillion.

As of the end of December 2021, the company's total assets reached Rp1,613 trillion, with Rp981.60 trill
