Jakarta - PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) posted a profit jump for the period attributable to owners in the first semester of 2022 by around 8,771% to US$167.672 million from the same period last year of US$1.890 million.

In the company's financial report released on Thursday (9/1), the more robust profit was driven by the high revenue achievement of around 129.62% to US$968.688 million from US$421.863 million.

BUMI also managed to increase its profit on foreign exchange by around 430.02% to US$2.242 million from US$423,137.

The share of net income of associates and joint ventures also jumped by 181.44% to US$248.751 million from US$88.385 million.

Unfortunately, the cost of revenue more than doubled to US$754.965 million from US$341.732 million.

Operating expenses increased by about 85.68% to US$56,583 million from US$30,472 million. However, operating profit more than tripled to US$157.139 million from US$49.658 million.
