Jakarta - PT Pegadaian throughout 2021 posted a net profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity, reaching Rp2.42 trillion, or growing 20.03% compared to the same period the previous year, Rp2.02 trillion.

Based on the financial report published Thursday (10/2), the increase in net profit was supported by a decrease in operating expenses of around 9.23% to Rp17.40 trillion compared to the same period in 2020 at Rp19.17 trillion.

The company also recorded an increase of around 19.54% in profit for the year from continuing operations to Rp2.42 trillion from Rp2.02 trillion. It also booked a profit for the year from discontinued operations of Rp5.23 billion, reversing from the previous loss of Rp3.86 billion.

Unfortunately, the company's operating income fell by about 6.03% to Rp20.63 trillion from Rp21.96 trillion.
