Jakarta - PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) posted a profit growth attributable to owners throughout 2021 of around 136.61%, to Rp1.971 trillion, from Rp833 billion.

The company's financial report, published on Friday (25/2), showed that the strengthening profit was driven by AALI's high net income of around 29.32%, to Rp24,322 trillion from Rp18,807 trillion.

AALI also pocketed a nearly doubled increase in foreign exchange gains, from Rp33.048 billion to Rp65.382 billion. Interest income increased by about 23.11%, reaching Rp62.793 billion from Rp51.002 billion.

However, AALI was unable to keep the cost of revenue from rising by around 23.02% from Rp15.844 trillion in December 2020 to Rp19.492 trillion in December 2021.

Until December 2021, AALI's total assets were at Rp30.3999 trillion, with equity of IDR 21.171 trillion and liabilities of Rp9.228 trillion.
