Matahari Putra Sales Rises 16% YoY to Rp2 Trillion in 2nd Quarter

PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) recorded gross sales or gross sales in the second quarter of 2020 of more than Rp2 trillion, growing 16.2% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Chief of Executive Officer of Matahari Putra Prima, Elliot Dickson, said that this growth could not be separated from the positive impact of the O2O business synergy implemented by MPPA.

This strategy began to be seen with the achievement of a ratio of online sales to regular sales of 5.8% (June 2021), which is the highest ratio since MPPA transformed into business O2O.

"We are on a good path of O2O transformation, followed by an increase in sales turnover and stable gross profit and optimistic that MPPA is able to transform into one of the largest online groceries players in Indonesia that has successfully synergized with various Indonesian giant tech (GoMart, Tokopedia, GrabMart, Shopee, BliBli and JD.ID)," he said in a statement on Tuesday (3/8).
