PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG) managed to record a profit attributable to the parent company owners of Rp1.157 trillion in the first quarter of 2021. In the same period last year, it lost Rp6.010 trillion.

Quoting the financial report on Friday (30/4), the profit was supported by a net gain on an investment in stocks and other equity securities of Rp1.121 trillion from the previous loss of Rp5.903 trillion.

In addition, Saratoga succeeded in reducing the rate of net loss on foreign exchange by almost doubling or from Rp63,304 billion to Rp318,438 billion. The company was also able to change the net loss on other derivative financial instruments amounting to Rp33,412 billion into a Rp277 million profit.

Interest expense also decreased by around 24.86% to Rp47.576 billion from Rp63,320 billion.

Meanwhile, the company's total assets were recorded at Rp36.557 trillion by the end of the first quarter of 2021, consisting of Rp4 trillion
