Jakarta - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) recorded gold sales volume in the first quarter of 2022 of as much as 6,575 kg, 89% higher than last year's achievement.

According to Antam's Corporate Secretary Syarif Faisal Alkadrie, the volume of gold production from the Pongkor and Cibaliung mines is 370 kg, up 28% from 290 kg.

"In 2022, Antam will focus on developing its precious metal customer base in the domestic market. This is in line with the increasing public awareness of investing in gold as well as the growing demand for gold in the refinery market at the London Bullion Market," said Syarif in a press release on Monday (5/23).

In the first quarter of this period, Antam's revenue from gold sales reached Rp5.88 trillion. Gold was the largest contributor to Antam's net sales, accounting for 60 percent of total sales for the quarter.
