PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk as the largest steel producer in Indonesia, increased sales of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) products last year by 19.11% to 1,043,668 tons from 876,186 tons in 2019.

Apart from HRC, sales of the company's Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) product, also increased by 17.53% to 405,742 tons from  345,237 tons in 2019.

Krakatau Steel Commercial Director Melati Sarnita said that increased sales in 2020 resulted from various efforts to improve the marketing strategy made by Krakatau Steel.

"Throughout 2020, Krakatau Steel implemented several sales strategies, including focusing on sales to priority consumers through the Key Account Management program, developing distributors through the Distributor Management program, as well as developing project markets that absorb products of Krakatau Steel's subsidiary," he said in Jakarta, on Monday.
