Jakarta - PT Krakatau Steel Tbk announced a profit of Rp1.05 trillion in January-Oktober.

"This profit was obtained due to the increasing sales and productivity of the company," said KS President Director Silmy Karim through a press release on Thursday (18/11).

According to him, the increase in profit was supported by the success of sales which grew 73.19% to Rp26.5 trillion from Rp15.3 trillion in the same period last year.

Until October 2021, Krakatau Steel's productivity also increased 35% to 1,628,000 tons from the previous 1,207,000 tons in the same period 2020.

Krakatau Steel was also able to reduce variable costs by 10% to US$57/ton until October 2021 from the same period in 2020 of US$63/ton. Fixed Cost also decreased by 8% to US$60/ton in the period until October 2021 compared to last year's US$65/ton.
