Jakarta - PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) recorded a loss attributable to owners in the first half of this year of around Rp205.122 billion, compared to the same period last year, which earned a profit of Rp57.6 billion.

The company's financial report was released on Monday (10/3). The loss was due to an operating loss of Rp15.673 billion in the period, which swung from previously pocketing an operating profit of around Rp357.752 billion.

Net sales also decreased by around 20.38%, to Rp4.425 trillion from Rp5.558 trillion.

However, KAEF managed to reduce the cost of goods sold by around 20.25%, to Rp2,948 trillion from Rp3,698 trillion.

Until the first semester of 2022, KAEF's total assets were recorded at Rp18.415 trillion, with liabilities of Rp11.142 trillion and equity of Rp7.273 trillion.

Meanwhile, the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period was Rp790.448 billion.
