Concerns Over COVID-19 Cases Trigger Gold's Rise

On Friday (23/4), the gold price has the potential to strengthen by moving in the range of support and resistance at US$1770-1815 per troy ounce.

"The persistence of US government bond yields with a tenor of less than 1.6 percent and worries about the increase in new cases of COVID-19 in the world have contributed to the increase in gold prices," said Commodity Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

As for yesterday's trade, the price of gold fell 0.5% due to expectations of global economic recovery, but the potential for strengthening gold prices is still maintained today.
