Kawasan Jababeka Plans to Buyback US$300 Million Senior Notes


Jakarta - PT Kawasan Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) plans to repurchase senior notes worth US$300 million.

Based on company information submitted through the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) information disclosure on Tuesday (7/9), this senior bond with a coupon of 6.5% was issued by Jababeka International BV (JIBV) and will mature in 2023.

KIJA is considering several financing options related to the plan, including the issuance of bonds issued by KIJA or business entities, namely JIBV or bank loans with a maximum amount of US$350 million.

The plan to issue new debt securities is equivalent to Rp4.936 trillion or around 78.86% (the exchange rate of December 31, 2020, at Rp14,105) of KIJA's equity value is Rp6.260 trillion.

KIJA will use the funds obtained from the issuance of new debt securities or raising loans to support the growth of the business group in the future.
