Drugmaker and Pharmaceutical company PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) has allocated a capital expenditure or capital expenditure (Capex) this year of Rp1 trillion.

"As of March 2021, the company has used a capital expenditure of Rp110 billion. The capex is used to complete the factory expansion in Cikarang and other operational costs," said Kalbe Farma Finance Director Bernadus Karmin Winata in Jakarta on Friday (28/5).

According to Bernadus, his company is expanding a factory in Cikarang for the consumer health business segment and building a warehouse. Meanwhile, regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, the company is still paying close attention to constructing a particular factory.

"The company already has sufficient facilities. What is needed now is to support the clinical trial process for the Covid-19 vaccine, " Bernadus explained.
