Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia and PT Krakatau Steel  Tbk are working together to develop business.

The MoU marks this collaboration as the initial basis for preparing everything related to the cooperation plan, which in its implementation will include the use of scrap from ATDO (Fixed Assets Dismissed from Operation) and used goods belonging to KAI by Krakatau Steel to meet the needs of the national steel industry and other industries.

In addition, the MoU also covers the transportation of Krakatau Steel production and optimization of the use of rail transportation, development of spare parts products for steel-based rail facilities and infrastructure, cooperation in industrial estates in Cilegon and Batang, as well as optimization and development of land and KAI facilities, including the construction of a logistics hub for Krakatau Steel.
