JCI Falls, Tracking Global Markets

At the opening of trading on Tuesday (20/4), the Jakarta Composite Index was corrected by 22.55 points, in line with the weakening of global and regional exchanges.

"The lack of sentiment accompanied by the decline in the US and Asian exchanges this morning has made the JCI prone to correction," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

On Tuesday's trading, the JCI opened down by 22.55 points (0.37%) to 6,029.99. Meanwhile, the LQ45 leading stock index fell 6.12 points (0.68%) to 897.03.

Also, several sentiments that can play in the market are the movement of several commodity prices that have decreased, such as coal, CPO, and nickel, and the meeting of the board of governors of Bank Indonesia, which will determine the policy direction for the BI 7DRR benchmark interest rate.
