JCI Strengthens on Selective Buyings


The selective buying action by market participants drove the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI)strengthening at the opening of trading on Thursday (10/6) by 18.45 points.

"The JCI has the potential to move higher driven by net buys in the banking sector and news that the government does not plan to increase the excise tariff on tobacco products in 2022. This can be a positive catalyst for the cigarette sector and the consumer as a whole," said Research by PT Samuel Sekuritas in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, at the opening of trading this Thursday, the Indonesia Stock Exchange opened up 18.45 points (0.31%) to 6,065.93.

Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 rose 3.46 points (0.38%) to 902.37.
