The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session today, Monday (10/5), strengthened 47.70 points or 0.80% to 5,976.01.

Of all traded, 279 stocks rose, 193 stocks fell, and 155 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 8.47 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp4.95 trillion.

The strengthening of the JCI was in line with the majority of sectoral indices. The biggest gain occurred in IDX Consumer Noncyclical, which jumped 1.74%. Followed by IDX Transportation rose 1.42%, IDX Basic Materials rose 1.16, and IDX Energy rose 1.12%.

Furthermore, IDX Industrial rose 0.56%, IDX Finance rose 0.53%, IDX Properties rose 0.53%, IDX Consumer Cyclical rose 0.47% and IDX Infrastructure rose 0.44% and IDX Healthcare rose 0.27% . Meanwhile, only IDX Technologies fell 0.18%.
