JCI Strengthen, Tracking Rise in Global Markets


The Jakarta Composite Index at the opening of trading on Wednesday (23/6) rose 8.05 points, tracking the strengthening of global markets.

"With the support of rising global markets, the Indonesia Stock Exchange is predicted to strengthen again but is limited, especially in the case of the COVID-19 rate which has not yet fallen," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, at the opening of trading on Wednesday, the JCI rose 8.05 points (0.13%) to 6,095.9. At the same time, the leading stock index LQ45 climbed 2.74 points (0.32%) to 871.21.

While in overnight trading, the US stock market closed with a higher tendency where the Dow Jones index rose 0.20%, the S & P500 rose 0.51%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.79%.
