External Factors Support JCI Rising


Jakarta - Positive sentiment in global markets and strengthening commodity prices triggered an increase in the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on  Friday (13/8) by 14.4 points.

"The limited strengthening of the JCI is expected to continue this Friday, referring to the slight increase in the Dow Jones index of 0.04% and the EIDO by 1.08% as well as rising prices for several commodities such as coal, gold and nickel," said Director of MNC Asset Management Edwin Sebayang in Jakarta.

As for the JCI at the opening of trading this Friday, it rose 14.4 points (0.23%) to 6,154.05.

Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 rose 4.11 points (0.49%) to 849.95.
