JCI Opens Up 0.63 Percent at 6,247.89



The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading today, Tuesday (9/2), strengthened 39.03 points or 0.63 percent to 6,247.89.

Of shares in the composite, 210 stocks rose, 21 stocks fell, and 160 stocks were unchanged. All sectoral indices rose along with the JCI.

The financial sector scored the highest increase, namely 1.75 percent, the mining sector rose 1.06 percent, the basic industry sector strengthened 0.79 percent, the plantation sector strengthened 0.79 percent, and the construction sector rose 0.85 percent.

For the miscellaneous industrial sector, it rose 0.69 percent, the manufacturing sector strengthened 0.66 percent, the infrastructure sector rose 0.56 percent, the consumer goods sector and trade strengthened 0.46 percent and 0.37 percent, respectively.

Some of the stocks in the LQ45 were the top gainers, among other, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) rose 5.18 percent, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) gained 3.36 percent, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) was up 3.70 percent.

Meanwhile, among the top losers included PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) fell 0.99 percent, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) was down 0.92 percent, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) slipped 0.88 percent.
