The Jakarta Composite Index at the opening of trading on Thursday (22/4), strengthened 0.30% to 6,011.9.

Two hundred one stocks rose, 121 stocks fell, and 171 stocks were stagnant. A total of 1.4 billion shares were traded, with a market turnover of 909 billion.

The consumer goods sector contributed the most to the 0.44% increase in the JCI. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector declined 0.54% the most.

However, foreign investors selling off shares capped the JCI from moving higher. This morning, net foreign sales in the regular market were around Rp207.078 billion and Rp192.702 billion for the entire market.
