JCI Opens Higher at 6,422.on Friday


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today, Friday (22/1), opened higher at 6,422.

Six sectoral indices weakened, limiting the strengthening of the JCI. The biggest weaknesses in a row were the infrastructure sector, the mining sector, construction, various industries, basic industries, and the manufacturing sector.

Meanwhile, four sectors managed to strengthen, With the largest increases were the plantation, finance, trade, and services sectors and the consumer goods sector.

Some of stocks in the LQ45 index were top gainers. PT Japfa Tbk (JPFA) rose 3.50%, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) was up 1.69%, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) rose 1.67%.

Meanwhile, the top losers among the LQ45 shares included PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), which dropped 4.89%. PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) fell 2.97%, and PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) was down 2, 38%.
