JCI Opens Falling on Lack of Positive Sentiment


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Friday (10/9) weakened 9.06 points amid little positive sentiment.

"We expect the JCI to move flat in line with the lack of sentiment and investors tend to wait and see for the release of global and domestic economic data next week," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

At the opening of trading this Friday, JCI corrected 9.06 points (0.15%) to 6,059.16. Meanwhile, the leading stock index group LQ45 fell 2.6 points (0.3%) to 869.25.

On the overseas, US stock markets closed lower overnight for global conditions where the Dow Jones index fell 0.43%, the S&P500 lost 0.46%, and the Nasdaq fell 0.25%.

Investors wait and see waiting for the Fed's next meeting on September 21-22 regarding when the central bank will slow down monthly bond purchases.
