JCI Opens Down 0.79% at 6,323.15


The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) today, on Monday (18/1), opened lower by 50.26 points or 0.79% to 6,323.15.

The most considerable weaknesses in sectors were the mining, plantation, financial, consumer goods, and manufacturing sectors, consecutively.

Other sectors followed the fall: the basic industrial sector, the infrastructure sector, various industrial sectors, and the trade and services sector.

Only the construction sector remained slightly stronger at the start of trading.

Foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 12.28 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) amounted to 10.5 billion, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) worth Rp6.9 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) at Rp 2.6 billion.

Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) worth Rp 5.9 billion, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) at Rp 2.4 billion, and PT Kalbe Farma Tbk ((KLBF) at Rp 1.9 billion.
