Commodity Prices Support JCI to Strengthen


The positive movement in commodity prices was the driving force behind the strengthening of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Friday (7/5) by 17.09 points.

"The Indonesia Stock Exchange has the potential to strengthen today, supported by positive movements in commodity prices and sentiment from US economic data," said a research company at PT Samuel Sekuritas in Jakarta.

The JCI at the opening of trading on Friday opened up 17.09 points (0.29%) to the position of 5,987.33.

Meanwhile, the leading stock index or the LQ45 index rose 4.66 points (0.52%) to 893.61.
