JCI Opens 0.19% Lower at 6,346 Today


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) earlier today, on Monday (15/3), opened slightly lower by 11.93 points or 0.19% at 6,346.276.

Seven other sectoral indices weakened and dragged the JCI movement. The weakest ones are the financial, infrastructure, basic industry, mining, consumer goods, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Meanwhile, three sectoral indices strengthened. The biggest increases in succession were the plantation sector, various industries, and trade and services.

While the stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT JAPFA Tbk (JPFA), which rose 2.43%, PT PP Tbk (PTPP) increased 1.97%, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) rose 1.88%.

The stocks among the LQ45 top losers were PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS), fell 3.34%, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) fell 2.25%, PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR) was down 2.24%.

Foreign investors net sold of shares worth Rp54.573 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), Rp7.4 billion, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) Rp6.5 billion, and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) Rp5.3 billion.

The stocks with the largest net purchases by foreigners were PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) Rp5.9 billion, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) Rp4.7 billion, and PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) Rp2.5 billion.
