JCI Opens 0.77% Higher at 6,246


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in trading today, Wednesday (10/3), opened up 47.37 points or 0.77% to 6,246.47.

197 stocks rose, 88 stocks fell, and 148 shares were stagnant. The total trading volume reached 1.08 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp494.09 billion.

All sector indices strengthened, supporting the increase in the JCI. The stock sectors with the most significant gain were the financial sector which rose 1.19%, the infrastructure sector rose 0.85%, and the plantation sector rose 0.70%.

Meanwhile, the stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 were: PT Summarecoan Aging Tbk (SMRA) rose 2.26%. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) gained 1.69%. PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) increased 1.69%.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers include PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN), which fell 2.50%, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) was down 2.11%, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) was down 1.75%.

Foreign investors recorded a net purchase of Rp 10.46 billion in all markets.

The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), amounting to Rp16.9 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp16.3 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) Rp4.8 billion.
