JCI Falls 0.92% to 6,055


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the trading session I on  Wednesday (8/9) weakened 56.50 points (0.92%) to a level of 6,055.

There were 158 stocks rising, 331 stocks weakening, and 154 stocks stagnant. The total trading volume reached 14.2 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp6.67 trillion.

The sectors that contributed the most to the decline in the JCI were IDX-Infrastructure 1.07%, IDX-Basic 1.04%, and IDX-Energy 1.04.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP), which rose 5.57% to Rp8,050. PT Paper Factory Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) rose 4.73% to Rp7,750. PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) rose 2.21% to Rp17,350.

Meanwhile, the top losers in the LQ45 were PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), which was down 4.88% to Rp3,700. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) down 4.26% to Rp2,700. PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk (INTP) fell 3.88% to Rp10,525.
