Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index at the end of today's trading, Monday (23/8), rose 1.31% or 79.06 points to 6109.83.

Of all traded stocks, 377 were up, 147 stocks were down, and 127 stocks were unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 22.81 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp12.63 trillion.

All sectoral indices strengthened along with the JCI. The technology sector led with a 3.06% gain.

The top gainers in the  LQ45 were PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) 14.44%, PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) 7.65%, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) 7.43%.

Meanwhile, the top losers in LQ45 were PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) -1.39%, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) -1.38%, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) -0.47%.
