The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of trading Thursday (12/8) rose 51.24 points (0.84%) to 6139.65.

There were 291 stocks rising, 218 stocks weakening, and 137 stocks stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 24.34 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp16.01 trillion.

The strengthening of the JCI today was supported by nine sectors. Only two sectoral indices experienced a decline.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) 8.95%, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) 8.14%, PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) 5.56%.

The top losers in LQ45 were PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) -1.15%, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) -0.95%, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) -0.94 %.
