Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index at the end of trading Thursday (18/8), closed up 30.23 points or 0.50% to 6,118.15.

Of all traded stocks, 213 ended rising, 304 stocks weakening and 130 stocks stagnant. The total trading volume reached 24.82 million shares with a total turnover of Rp16.57 trillion.

The strengthening of the JCI was supported by the strengthening of seven of the 11 sectors. The sectors that strengthened were the financial sector at 1.85%, the raw goods sector at 1.61%, the industrial sector at 1.04% and the property sector at 0.85%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) 8.11% to Rp800, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) 7.62% to Rp1,130, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) 5 ,34% to Rp5,425.

Meanwhile, among the top losers in the  LQ45 were PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) 6.30% to Rp595, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) 5.48% to Rp16,400, PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) ) 4.26% to Rp30,87
