JCI Closes Up 1.50% to 6,358 Today


At the end of trading today, on Friday (12/3), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up 93.70 points or 1.50% to 6,358.38.

Of all traded stocks, 306 shares rose, 196 shares fell, and 140 shares were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 23.90 billion with a market turnover of Rp12.91 trillion.

The strengthening of all sector indices supports the JCI. The increase in the mining, agriculture, construction, basic industry, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors became the main support for the JCI. These sectors strengthened respectively 3.69%, 3.26%, 3.17%, 3.09%, 1.83 %, and 1.71%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), rose 8.52% to Rp2,420, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) increased 7.09% to Rp10,575. PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk (INKP) gained 5.96% to Rp13,325.

Meanwhile, stocks included in the LQ45 top losers, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP), fell 1.69% to Rp13,100, PT Charoen Pokphand Tbk (CPIN) declined 1.09% to Rp6,775. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) was down 1.08% to Rp4,580.

Foreign institutional investors booked a net sell of Rp469.88 billion in all markets. Most foreigners sold shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) for Rp262.2 billion, PT Bank Sinarmas Tbk (BSIM) for Rp164.5 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) for Rp122.1 billion.

Some foreign institutional investors however collected a lot of shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) worth Rp187.1 billion, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) Rp61.0 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) Rp49.4 billion.
