JCI Closes Up 0.33% at 6,359.20


At the end of trading today on Tuesday (2/3), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up 20.69 points or 0.33% to 6,359.20.

Of the composite, 225 stocks rose, 253 shares fell, and 162 shares were unchanged. Total share trading volume reached 21.85 billion shares with a total value of Rp14.23 trillion.

Five stock sectors managed to strengthen, supporting the increase in the JCI. Meanwhile, five other stock sectors slipped into the red zone.

The stock sectors with the largest increase were the basic industry sector which rose 2.22%, the consumer goods sector rose 2.02%, and the manufacturing sector rose 1.76%.

Meanwhile, the sectors with the deepest fall were the mining sector, which fell 2.20%, the infrastructure sector fell by 0.66%, and the plantation sector declined 0.60%.

The stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 today were PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) which gained 9.60%, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) increased 7.87%, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP ) 6.78%.

The LQ45 top losers included PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which fell 5.99%, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) slid 3.87%, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO ) decreased 3.29%.
